My journal cards for the handmade journal card swap on SM......

Here's the inside of the 2008 the year that was album i started a while ago.....

I decided not to go with a title for this lo, bit did add a few little bits and pieces.... a couple flowers, of course some bling, and a pull out journalling tag.

Here's another lo, realllly hope a certain someone doesnt mind me sharing this lo, love love these photos and so happy i could pull of a lo that did them some justice!
the pages ive glimmermised and distressed the edges to matt the photos on, are out of a book with a print date of 1838... my sil ripped the pages out of the book and was going to toss them out.... not with me around, ive already used them lots very very nice touch i think! fitting miss is a history teacher and to use pages that are very old i thought went perfect togethor!
A lo of moi!

These are some of the pics i took at our house on saturday night! bloody scary I tell you , and we were told we were pretty safe. The poor boy was petrified thinking the world was ending and burning all around us and we were next. It bloody seemed like that, all roads out of town were blocked so we couldnt go anywhere for a few days if we wanted to get the hell out. In half an hour the sky went from smokey grey, to a really eerie orange, to pitch black with just a red glow... and this was in the late afternoon.... Pitch black at 4.30 is bloody freaky in itself without the rest! To see flames, and have no road out of town, is as close as I want to get to such a situation! My heart really does bleed for those that have lost loved ones and property.... both locally and throughout the rest of the state. Just being in the town where people are sent who had to flee, their is still an eeriness to the town, people still have no idea of what is happening or happened, just stunness... a lady in the supermarket said to me yesterday, I feel guilty like I am doing something wrong doing something so normal and trivial as grocery shopping when this is happening, when people have lost their houses and everything in them, yet i prob still have food at home and am out shopping for more. And its a feeling i think all of us are feeling. It's an utterly horrible feeling of being helpless, feeling lost for these people that ARE lost. The stories of people who passed, the people who are 'missing'.... will they ever be found. The tally of those people who have perished in these fires are astronomical, but yet with soo many still missing and unaccounted for, it is terrifying how high these figures may get. very sombering.

The boy has started back at school, he was actually reallly excited to be going back, just not at having 100 photos taken before we left! hehe He's becoming a little more resistant to photos lately, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, i guess ive had it too easy too long, think i gotta get more creative with the encouraging him to have them taken haha.
